Job Description:

Local company seeks Bookkeeper for immediate fill. Duties include: Assisting in the compilation and composition of monthly financial statements and all supporting reports for review and analysis. Includes detailed schedule of balance sheet accounts, detailed explanation of prepaid expenses and detailed report of fixed assets. The supporting reports also include the variances from the close of the prior fiscal year.



- Assisting in preparing the annual budget



- Assisting in preparing and substantiating the annual property tax filing



- Monitoring daily balance and completing monthly bank reconciliation for specified checking accounting and communicating as necessary with appropriate banks



- Responsible for all administration entries to appropriate accounts in the general ledger



- Prepares and maintains the accounting system for tracking fixed assets



- Assigns general ledger accounts for all incoming invoices



- Maintains accounts payable including data entry for approximately 400 vendors and weekly check printing for payment



- Assists with the preparation and reporting of Forms 1099 and 1096



- Calculates, prepares and processes all travel expense reports for employees who travel on Company business



- Must have knowledge and/or experience of basic accounting and preferably Quickbooks
