The Media Coordinator will assist CNS with external communications, media relations, and content development for the CNS Communications Team to effectively represent the company's programs, services, and outcomes to the general public, employees, patients, and referral sources.With traumatic brain injury, life changes in an instant.     • Creates content for media projects/platforms: press releases, media pitches, newsletter stories for internal communications, collateral packages featuring CNS clinical programs and related pieces that showcase those programs. (Talking Points, case studies, social media copy, related articles from brain injury sources).
    • Interfaces with media in the clinical markets CNS serves (CA and TX), positioning stories and arranging logistics for interviews and shoots. Arranges patient consents for interviews. Works with Manager to create media strategies for these markets. Ensures that media outreach concurs with CNS brand philosophy.
    • As directed, crafts Web copy.
    • Collaborates with executive management on messaging for various referral sources such as Workers' Compensation, attorneys, life care planners, discharge planners, physicians, and acute care hospitals.
    • Creates media databases using such tools as PR Newswire or Meltwater.
    • Collaborates on annual and quarterly PR projects to be executed throughout the year, and based on TBI-focused awareness: Stroke month, case management week, etc. Writes related copy needed for these campaigns: card copy for nurses' mailings, social media copy, etc.REQUIREMENTS:
      • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing or related field preferred.
      • Minimum 1-2 years of experience as marketing or technical staff writer is highly preferred, preferably in the marketing of healthcare services.
      • Must demonstrate an ability to acquire knowledge of traumatic brain-injury rehabilitation, workers' compensation, accident and health and long-term disability insurance.
      • Must have and be able to apply self-management skills, deadline adherence, and maintain personal responsibility.
      • COVID vaccination with booster (when eligible) is required.
