Join a team that's working together with industry to deliver innovation for the long term on some of the most important and interesting projects around the world.We are currently looking for a Senior Hydrogen Engineer to join our Energy and Resources team in any of our US offices. As a Senior Hydrogen Engineer, you will work with on small, mid, and large sized projects under the guidance of the Project Manager/Project Engineer and alongside the Business Development Team.Your Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for design of complex projects which require specialized knowledge, including technical preparation and coordination of the design, specifications, technical documentation test data, etc. to ensure compliance with project requirements. Assess environmental impact and project risks.Serve as senior project engineer, performing in depth evaluation and alternative analyses to support project decisions and resolve unusual and complex situations. Responsible for evaluating the structure to ensure that it meets all federal and local codes and specifications.Liaise with clients as a designated contact, on regulatory and/or funding agencies, and others to obtain and determine project requirements and approvals.Support marketing and business development professionals in positioning for potential projects, writing technical portions of proposals, participating in client interviews and supporting negotiations for project contracts. Provides cost estimates and budget projections for technical proposals.Support Project Manager(s) with technical evidenced proposals as project issues arise with clients, contractors, equipment suppliers/vendors, or reviewing agencies.Support business case for project decisions through environmental impact assessments and evaluation of project risks.Manage, direct, and monitor progress of the process technical elements within each phase of a project.Provide guidance to other team members as an internal technical expert.Contribute to the development of new standards and specifications of process design.Supervise and monitor client relationship strategies.Work to develop business development strategies to further Hydrogen work with identified customers.Maintain and identify opportunities to expand existing business.Engineer of record on own work product, work of non-licensed engineers and technologist.QualificationsYour Capabilities and CredentialsEnergy industry backgroundProcess / Mechanical engineering experienceCarbon Capture knowledgeSound problem-solving skillsExcellent organizational and communication (written and oral) skillsAbility to perform in a dynamic and fast-paced environmentAbility to multitask, in both capacities of handling multiple studies/projects, and be able to carry out multiple tasks and scalability within each projectGenuine team player who will encourage teamwork with the project team and with other discipline staffHigh level of initiative and ability to complete tasks on schedule and budgetWillingness to go the 'extra mile' to support projects, customers and fellow employeesFocused on continuous improvementFocused on providing quality services to the customers in a timely mannerKnowledge of project management principles and processesWillingness to travel on occasion (1 to 3 day trips per month)Must have good driving record and valid Driver's License.Prior to employment with Stantec, this position will require the successful passing of a drug screen.Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with minimum of 12 years of experience.
