Adventist Health Central California Network is a non-profit faith-based organization operating eight hospitals across Bakersfield, Delano, Hanford, Selma, Reedley, Tehachapi, and Tulare, along with more than 130 medical offices throughout the Central Valley. Job Summary:
Implements, monitors and evaluates effective marketing and communication strategies, including advertising, promotion and media relations to support overall organizational marketing and communication objectives. Plans, develops and implements the network's marketing and communication strategies, both external and internal, driving growth, engagement and relevancy in the network. Supports new and existing providers, medical offices and services through development, execution, monitoring and measurement of marketing and communication plans to grow volume and revenue. Understands key marketing and communication performance metrics and analytics to show campaign results and return on investment. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned personnel using both professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment.
Job Requirements:
Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
  • Master's Degree: Preferred
  • Seven years' marketing and communications experience: Preferred
  • Five years' leadership experience: Preferred
  • Five years' experience in a healthcare setting: PreferredEssential Functions:
    • Partners with system marketing, story and communications, and provides management and leadership to the network's marketing and communications managers.
    • Collaborates with system resources, leads brand positioning and image enhancement efforts for the network and key services through coordinated marketing and communication plans. Ensures brand standards are followed to guarantee the integrity of the brand. Researches, executes, monitors and measures the effectiveness of various marketing and communication efforts showing return on investment.
    • Partners with outside vendors in production of marketing plans and tactics, supervises media placement, tracks advertising and evaluates results.
    • Coordinates relationships with the media and prepares, reviews and distributes all official press releases. Works closely with system crisis communication, leads external and internal crisis communication efforts and acts as the public information officer.
    • Exercises independent judgment in supervising and responsibly directing assigned staff. Delegates and assigns work to personnel for effective utilization of their skills and to meet business needs. Recruits and orients new employees. Ensures all employees are sufficiently trained to carry out their duties. Creates an engaging workplace and encourages others to contribute creative and innovative approaches to achieve continuous improvement. Drives a performance culture through appraisals and other coaching. Disciplines personnel when deemed appropriate.
    • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
