The People Development Manager is responsible for

providing sound leadership by identifying, creating and driving key people

programs with business partners to engage and motivate employees. In addition, this

individual is responsible for developing and delivering pertinent training

content for employee development programs which enhance the capability of the

organization to deliver company goals and objectives.

This individual is a leader who diagnoses and offers

proactive solutions and strategies for developing a strong internal workforce

and People Operations strategy. Through this highly visible leadership role, the

successful candidate will lead the effort in creating a high performing

environment that supports the organization's culture by ensuring a qualified,

diverse, inclusive, productive and engaged workforce. The position is located

in our Bakersfield, CA office, however traveling to other locations will be required.
Responsibilities


  • Partner closely with business leaders and other

    People Operations leaders to assess needs, develop recommendations; and manage

    projects to improve the performance of leaders, teams and organizations.
  • Deliver organizational development expertise to

    a variety of projects including strategy development, organization assessment,

    organization design, change and culture transformation across a diverse set of

    businesses.
  • Gain deep knowledge on the unique talent

    challenges facing CRC and work with leaders and team members to address them.

    This will include career pathing/ job definition, retention strategies, and development.
  • Guide leaders and teams through CRC's talent

    processes and programs, including: performance management and compensation

    reviews, employee survey action planning, talent review, gap analysis,

    succession planning, and organizational design.
  • Provide proactive and strategic guidance on leadership

    development initiatives that align with current development programs and

    strengthen the skill base of existing and future leaders to enhance the

    leadership talent pipeline.
  • Use data, analytics and insights to enable

    evidence-based approach to OD and continuously assess and demonstrate impact
  • Leverage project management and leadership

    skills to facilitate complex work and maintain stakeholder alignment; develop

    project schedules, plans and timelines
  • Develop training programs and events that ensure

    the business can motivate, develop and retain talent through effective training

    & development.
  • Facilitate instructor-led classes, meetings,

    webinars, special events and customized engagements for team development.
  • Continually invest in self-development and

    remain current with new developments, technologies, industry trends and

    innovations.


    Required qualifications:




    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in

      the field of Organizational Development, Organizational Effectiveness, Change

      Management, Human Resources, or related field
    • 5-7 years of OD or Human Capital consulting (or

      equivalent) experience
    • Demonstrates strong business acumen and a track

      record of success in partnering with business leaders
    • Intellectually curious and open to challenging

      status quo
    • Strong analytical, diagnostic, consulting and problem-solving

      skills
    • High degrees of initiative and creativity
    • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and

      storytelling skills; must be capable of communicating information to varied

      audiences
    • Excellent project management skills with a

      demonstrated ability to lead projects from inception through completion while

      bringing stakeholders along
    • Ability to work independently and

      collaboratively to accomplish assignments with moderate supervision
    • Ability to work in and manage ambiguity
    • Ability to focus on critical issues to balance

      and respond to competing priorities
    • Excellent relationship building, interpersonal

      and influence skills with clients and colleagues
    • Demonstrates high Emotional Intelligence,

      including self-awareness, adaptability and organizational awareness

      Preferred qualifications:

      • Advanced Degree - Organizational Development,

        Organization Effectiveness, Change Management, Human Resources or related field.
