Quality Laboratory Analyst

- Permanent Role based in Boron, CA, USAAbout the role We are
looking for a Quality Laboratory Analyst to protect the reputation
of the 20 Mule Team brand by assuring the quality of the processes
and products thereof. To accomplish this goal, our team accurately
determines the quality of intermediate products and final products
using analytical methods and sound laboratory practices. Our
methods are designed to report the physical and chemical
characteristics of samples so that plant operations can be
maintained to produce a consistently high quality product, and to
ensure that customer specifications are satisfied. The Quality
Laboratory team vigilantly maintains the high standard and historic
reputation of the 20 Mule Team brand and the broader Rio Tinto
group of companies.Reporting to the Quality Laboratory Supervisor,
you will:
- Safely perform physical and chemical testing of samples
according to established methods with good laboratory practices and
within an established time frame.
- Inspection, calibration, and verification of analytical
instrumentation, equipment and work areas for proper function and
safety.
- Record and report the accurate data collected and communicate
issues that may arise.About you To be successfully considered for
this role, you will have:
- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or related discipline
- Strong competency in chemistry and mathematics
- Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and
PowerPoint)It will be beneficial if you have:
- Strong knowledge in SharePoint, LIMS, SAP, etc
- Experience with analytical instruments including: IC, ICP-OES,
