Provide direct patient care. Supervise the activities of nursing staff members. Anticipate patients needs. Follow-up on all care related activities and assure all physician orders are accurately transcribed and carried out in a timely manner. Coordinate the plan of care. Conduct patient teaching specific to disease entity and home management. Actively participate in assuring care continuum. Collaborate with other nursing and ancillary services to assure seamless communication and uninterrupted patient care. Model leadership behaviors. Foster a spirit of collaboration and teamwork. Mentor peers and colleagues.\n\n \n\nQualifications\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n* CA RN, BLS & ACLS required.\n* All hires before 10/01/2015 must obtain ONS Chemotherapy provider card by 09/01/2016 and (3) completed Hazardous Drug Administration Safe handling checklists within 1 year of obtaining the Chemo provider card (Exception: Pregnant and breastfeeding employees.) \n* Hires after 10/01/2015 must obtain their Chemotherapy Provider Card at the end of the month following 90 days of hire card and one year to obtain (3) Checklists. \n RN Residents must obtain the following certifications (ACLS) at the end of the month following 10 weeks of hire. \n* Chemo provider card with 6 months and (3) completed Hazardous Drug Administration Safe handling checklists within 1 year of obtaining the Chemo provider card. \n* *Residents will be allotted a maximum of two opportunities to pass the initial online portion of Heart Code ACLS and initial Heart Code ACLS Mega Code skills. Failure to meet these requirements will result in dismissal from the resident program.\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n* Bachelor's degree\nSpecial Skills:\n \n\n* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret hospital policies and procedures, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and procedures and document in the medical record. \n* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from co-workers, managers, patients, physicians, family members and the general public. \n* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as weights, dosages, flow rates, proportions, percentages and volume. \n* Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. \n* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. \n* Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. \n* Must have ability to critically think and problem solve. \n* Must have the ability to read, write and speak English.\n\nPay Range\n$39.31 - $68.22 /hour
