Pay Information $2,600 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 3 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Charge RN experience in last assignment Description: This position combines charge nurse, clinical mentor, and management responsibilities. The clinician provides leadership to ensure safe, high-quality, and compassionate patient care. Support staff and promote a positive work environment. Round on patients and address service or safety concerns. Serve as a resource for both clinical and interpersonal issues. Take charge nurse assignments as needed, based on census and staffing levels. Unit consists of all Medsurg Tele units with a total of 27 beds. Common diagnoses include general medical surgical, GYN, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, some spine cases, and some joint cases. Patients may have a history of oncology but are not necessarily on active chemotherapy. Strong central line experience is required. Compassionate care and a passion for teaching and spending time with patients are essential. Weekend requirement includes one shift every two weeks. Holidays are applicable for two major and one minor holiday. Floating to other med surg units may be required. Charting is done using Cerner. Shifts include 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. If put on standby, the traveler must be able to report within 30 minutes. No acute strokes or acute cardiac cases are managed on the unit. The unit does not have an IV team but has a resource nurse for assistance. Respiratory and pharmacy support are available 24/7.
