Doctor of Medicine | Obstetrics and Gynecology Location: Visalia, CA Employer: VieMed Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position Join Our Team as a Locum - Physician - OB Hospitalist in Visalia, CA and Make a Difference We are seeking a dedicated and experienced OB Hospitalist to provide exceptional obstetric care on a locum basis. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive obstetric care for a diverse patient population in a busy hospital setting. Manage unassigned patients within the pseudo laborist model and respond efficiently to emergent gynecological situations. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including in-house anesthesia coverage and community providers for backup during emergencies. Support Level III NICU and work closely with local residency programs, primarily Family Medicine, for OBED/L&D rotations. Required Skills: Active and unrestricted CA medical license. Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Proven experience in obstetrics, including managing labor and delivery, emergent gynecological cases, and NICU-level III patients. Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills. Ability to work independently while maintaining excellent patient care standards. Nice to Have Skills: Prior experience in hospitalist or locum roles. Familiarity with pseudo laborist models and residency training programs. Skills in multidisciplinary collaboration and emergency response. Preferred Education and Experience: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school. Minimum of 2 years of obstetric practice, preferably in a hospital setting with Level III NICU exposure. Current ACLS and BLS certification. Other Requirements: Availability to start on December 31, 2025. Willingness to work within a private practice and hospital protocols. No outpatient responsibilities; focus on inpatient obstetric care. Compliance with all licensure, certification, and travel reimbursement policies.
