Job Description:
Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Speech Pathologist to
join our dynamic team. We specialize in providing top-tier
rehabilitation services aimed at aiding patients to recover and
regain their independence post-major health events like strokes and
injuries. As a Speech Pathologist at Encompass Health, you will
play a crucial role in the multidisciplinary team by assessing,
diagnosing, and treating speech, language, social communication,
cognitive-communication, and voice disorders in our patients. Our
commitment to personalized patient care means you'll work closely
with patients of all ages who have various levels of speech,
language, or swallowing problems. Assess and diagnose patients with
speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders. Develop
individualized plans of care in collaboration with the healthcare
team. Implement speech therapy interventions and monitor patient
progress. Educate patients and families about management and
treatment plans. Maintain patient records and documentation per
regulatory requirements. Participate in multidisciplinary team
meetings to discuss and optimize patient care. Strong understanding
of speech therapy principles and practices. Excellent communication
and interpersonal skills. Ability to tailor interventions to
individual patient needs. Proficiency in using speech therapy
equipment and tools. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance 401k Current state licensure as a Speech-Language
Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language
Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing
Association (ASHA).
