As a practice, we are committed to using evidence based practice(EBP) as the cornerstone of our physical therapy care and place emphasis onclinical education. Here are 5 of the ways we ensure our clinicians are exposedand encouraged to pursue their clinical passions.----Continuing Education: 1- 3courses/year In House - course topics are determined by staff suggestions,feedback from past courses, as well as new programs the practice isintroducing. We pay course tuition for team members to attend one clinicalcourse per year at their clinic director's discretion; additional courses areapproved by our Clinical Committee.Clinical Review Meetings: Thesemeetings review basic evaluation, treatment, and clinical reasoning in variousareas of PT practice and are administered practice wide via the web.Transitional DPT: Weoffer a company sponsored tDPT program to all PT's desiring to obtain theirtransitional doctorate.Physical Therapy Student Clinical Education: Actingas a mentor is a valuable opportunity to demonstrate your ability to articulateand demonstrate physical therapy knowledge. Following one year of clinicalexperience, Physical Therapists are given the opportunity to mentor afirst-year student for a 2-6 week affiliation. The practice hosts 40-50students per year so opportunities to mentor abound.APTA Accredited Orthopedic Physical TherapyResidency: The Movement for Life Team has partnered with the University ofSouthern California to create an exceptional Orthopedic Residency Program. Thisprogram combines expertise from one of the premier Physical Therapy programs inthe country with our local team of Board Certified Orthopedic ClinicalSpecialists (OCS). The Residency is a 12-month program of post-professionalclinical and didactic education for Physical Therapists designed to advancepreparation as a provider of patient care services in orthopedic physicaltherapy.CommunityWe are very involved in our communities. We believe thathealthcare is local and should be a collaborative effort. We see ourselves asan extension of the physicians in our communities and are always looking forways to better support their services. Throughout the year, each of the clinicscollects money for local causes and participates in local events such as the MSWalk, the Heart Walk, Go Red for Women, START!, Miracle Miles for Kids and manymore.
