Brief Description CNC Lathe machinist is responsible for producing work in the most efficient manner while meeting the drawing/planning specification /requirements. Key Accountabilities • Knowledge of machining processes. • Assists and completes set-ups for the first two years with full supervision and assistance. • Perform and maintain accurate in-process quality inspection and records. • Identify and recommend process improvements to reduce part quality variation. • Responsible for all phases of part operation set-up to achieve first article acceptance with supervision. • Continuously improve processes, procedures, and eliminate waste. • Perform other related duties as assigned. Desirable Experience and Capabilities - Machinist I requires basic knowledge of various metals, and of measurements used in machining processes. - 1-3 years experience operating CNC mills/lathes. - Skilled in the use of indicator, gage, dial bores, and plate inspection methods for first article and in-process inspection of precision machined parts. - Ability to maintain close tolerances (within .0005”) of all processes required. - Understanding of machine tool accuracies, tool offsets. - Basic knowledge of cutting tool feeds, speeds, and tool life for aerospace machining. - Ability to follow written, verbal instructions and interpret blue print and quality requirements. - Ability to communicate with employees and management in a positive manner. - Ability to lift a maximum of 25 lbs (over 25 lbs with assistance). - Ideal candidate will have experience with AS9100, 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma. - High school diploma or equivalent. - Machinist schooling a plus. - “Restrictions imposed by federal export control laws may limit this job opportunity to candidates who are a ‘U.S. Person’, which includes U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, U.S. permanent residents, individuals granted asylum in the United States, and refugees in the United States.” , or who otherwise can qualify for a license that permits them to hold the position.” Benefits - Medical, Dental, Vision and Prescription Drug Coverage - Spending accounts (HSA, Health Care FSA and Dependent Care FSA) - Paid Time Off and Holidays - 401k Retirement Plan with Matching Employer Contributions - Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance - Paid Leaves - Tuition Assistance About Regal Rexnord Regal Rexnord is a $6.5B publicly held global industrial manufacturer with 30,000 associates around the world who help create a better tomorrow by providing sustainable solutions that power, transmit and control motion.
