OverviewBakersfield Memorial Hospital is a 426 bed acute care medical center offering a full range of services including the Sarvanand Heart and Brain Center, Grossman Burn Center at Memorial Hospital, expanded maternity and family care, the Lauren Small Childrenas Center, orthopedic services, wound care center, 24-hour emergency care and general/outpatient surgery. Learn more athttps://www. dignityhealth. org/central-california/locations/memorial-hospitalResponsibilitiesPosition Summary:This position involves the coordination of program infrastructure of the vascular patient population across the entire continuum of care. Serves as a leader for vascular performance and improvement initiatives; including abstraction of data into a designated national database registry and identification of improvement opportunities. Provides and/or coordinates eduational activities for both staff and patients, as indicated. Acts as a community liaison on behalf of the program and the hospital to promote awareness and education on vascular disease. Collaborates in the development of policy and procedure for vascular patients. Assists and participates with the Director in related program development and implementation of such tactics.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum three years clinical experience within the last 5 years in the acute care setting.
  • Vascular nursing experience in the surgical or procedural setting is required.
  • Must possess leadership and communication skills to coordinate an interdisciplinary team; public speaking experience desirable; working knowledge in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Attention to detail and ability to perform extensive patient medical record review required.
  • Working knowledge in quality improvement initiatives; familiarity in policy and procedure development.
  • Previous data registry abstraction is desirable.
