ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform calibration, testing, maintenance and repair on molecular diagnostic systems and instruments in line with established SOP'sProvide frontline support by resolving internal customers' problems and issues through technical expertise and troubleshootingUse critical thinking to resolve issues within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action to rapidly repair/replace instrumentationProvide training, as needed, to our internal customers and verify the operational performance and data quality of systems in order to contribute to our overall team successDocument calibration data and prepare reports, as requiredEnsure schedule adherence to meet cGMP compliance and production needsMonitor and complete all business tasks within established timeframe and ensure optimal qualityCoordinate with various internal departments to ensure calibrations are completed within established interval due datesMonitor and communicate coming due calibrations to internal customers for systems/instrumentsInitiate and distribute non-conforming event (Out of Tolerance) investigations to affected internal customers and provide support as needed to drive investigation to completion within required timeframeComplete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on timeMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Education and Experience (in years): High School degree (our equivalent experience) with 4-6 years of related work experience -OR-AA or Technical Trade Degree with 2-4 years of related work experience -Or-Medical Technologist with 2-4 years of laboratory experienceExperience working in a cGMP environmentExperience with instrument decontamination processes and proceduresKnowledge and skills: Sound knowledge of FDA, cGMP, and ISO standardsAbility to read and understanding electrical schematics and P&IDsExcellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to communicate across the organizationAbility to work in a fast-paced and self-directed environmentResourceful, with the ability to work independentlyTime management skillsStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookPractical experience and knowledge of administrative functionality within various regulatory asset (calibration or maintenance) management platforms; experience with Blue Mountain Regulatory Asset Manager a plusPhysical requirements/abilities: Must be able to lift 45 lbs. to a height of 5 feet.Must be able to stand for several hours.Work may involve repetitive arm/wrist motions.The statements in this description represent typical elements, criteria and general work performed.
