Job Description:

Job DescriptionProcesses and reconciles a wide variety of accounting documents such as invoices, employee reimbursements, cash receipts, vendor statements, and journal vouchers. Reviews and codes financial information; prepares and processes documents to disburse funds, make deposits and prepare reports; compile and review information for accuracy; and maintain records.Processes payments and documents such as invoices, journal entries, employee reimbursements, and credit card statements.Verifies items billed against items ordered and received and reconciles differences through follow-up with the vendor and/or other employees.Calculates rates paid for purchases and all price extensions.Enters, updates, and/or retrieves data from accounting systems.Posts financial data to appropriate accounts in accounting system.Endorses warrants or money orders, prepares account deposit ticket, and deposits money as directed.Retrieves system reports as needed.Prepares daily correspondent bank reconciliations.Assist with monthly general ledger certification process.Files and/or removes records and reports.Performs related work as assigned.Experience and SkillsDesired RequirementsBasic experience, knowledge and training in Business Banking Center operation activities, terminology and products and services.Basic knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations, and other Bank operational policies.Basic skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; mainframe computer system; word processing and spreadsheet software.Basic math skills; calculate interest and balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; count currency, coin and negotiable instruments in a timely manner.Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, and speak clearly to customers and employees.Minimum RequirementsProject a businesslike professionalism to the client in both appearance and manner.Possess a strong customer service orientation, and a willingness to place the customer first.Possess strong written/verbal communication skills as well as excellent organizational/time management skills.Basic skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; and word processing and spreadsheet software.Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties.Current driver's license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.Job BenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision, FSA, Life, Vacation, Sick, Paid Holidays
