                The Claim Trainee role is an in office position for those who reside in or near our Reno, NV, Bakersfield, CA, or Roseville, CA offices. Trainees not located in Bakersfield may be required to spend up to four weeks on site at our Bakersfield office at the start of training.
                
                Job Summary
                
                The Claims Trainee is an entry level position focused on skills needed to qualify for CIG's Claims Representative II position. The Claims Trainee will gain exposure to various departments within the company to establish business acumen and understanding of the claim representative's role to the company's success. The Trainee will learn valuable investigative skills across auto, property and casualty exposures, including reading a policy and analyzing coverage for a loss, investigating causation, taking recorded statements, completing site inspections, and evaluating damages to reach an accurate and appropriate settlement. Upon successful completion of the training program and demonstrating proficiencies required of the role, the claims trainee will transition to a Claims Representative II position where activities align with corporate needs.
                
                Requirements
                • Recently acquired bachelor's degree from a four-year university or will be graduating in Spring 2023
                • Desire to provide strong service to customers with strong listening and communication skills along with conflict management.
                • Ability to quickly learn and apply acquired knowledge essential to the position.
                • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
                • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with colleagues.
                • Sound critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills
                  Salary: $24.00 hourly
