Job Description:
Job Description Summary: Joyride---s Production Lead leads the
production team---s day-to-day execution of the beverage production
schedule. They supervise and work alongside a small, capable team
of Production Workers that make the high quality, craft beverages
for which the Joyride brand is known. The Production Lead is a
strong communicator and hard worker with experience in food
production and food safety who leads by example and drives
productivity through effective organization, delegation, and
teamwork. As a Production Lead, he/she will grind, brew, and
extract coffee andtea in accordance with the daily production
schedule. He/she will serve as the Head Brewer/BreweryPlant
Manager---s right-hand person, supervising and training the
additional production team members accordingly, and submitting test
samples to our third-party laboratory. In carrying out all of these
functions, the Production Lead maintains a clean and compliant
workplace, adhering to Joyride---s standards and processes to meet
demand efficiently, deliver exceptional quality, and foster a
culture of food safety, safety, and continuous improvement Ideal
Candidate: The ideal Production Lead candidate has experience in
and an enthusiasm for craft food or beverage production. He/she
takes deep pride in his/her work in creating a quality product. The
ideal candidate serves as role model to the Production Workers by
always being punctual and detail-oriented. He/she enjoys working
with their hands and is comfortable lifting 65 pounds repeatedly
throughout the day. He/she understands and prioritizes workplace
and food safety and is able to keep meticulous records and maintain
high levels of compliance with all policies and procedures. He/she
also is flexible and able to adjust to seasonal changes in demand
and looks for opportunities to make tweaks to the production
process all while being aligned with Joyride---s continuous
improvement mentality. What You---ll Do: Lead by example on the
production floor, working alongside the Production team to brew and
package beverages is a food safe and sanitary manner Supervise all
aspects of brewing cold brew coffee and tea as well as the
equipment and facility sanitation required in the production
processes Develop and execute daily production plans using
Joyride---s tools and systems and in a manner that meets
Joyride---s quality expectations Provide support to the Brewery
Manager in warehouse operations like shipping & receiving and
inventory Follow and execute all workplace and food safety policies
and procedures and oversee compliance by Production Workers
Maintain accurate and detailed records of safety, inventory, and
other records in accordance with policy and procedure Assist Head
Brewer or Brewery Manager in performing regular quality analysis
and preparing samples for lab testing Assist Head Brewer or
BreweryPlant Manager with conducting weekly, monthly and quarterly
physical inventory counts Assist Head Brewer or BreweryPlant
Manager with local department developments, including training and
equipment and process improvement Execute Production Worker
training plan with the support of the Head Brewer as needed Safe
handling of hazardous chemicals used in both the cleaning and
sanitation process of production equipment Conduct all work in a
manner that promotes safety and productivity and champion the
importance of each Maintain a clean, safe, and well organized
facility Support the Brewery Manager in the development of best
practices, new products, and general continuous improvement
Escalate any and all food safety concerns to management Perform
other duties as needed and assigned by his/her manager Reasonable

the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the
following competencies: 2-3 years of food or beverage processing or
production experience; brewing experience preferred Prior training
experience; prior supervisory or management experience preferred
Has or obtains within 90 days of employment: Food Safety
Handler---s License or Certificate, Forklift certification, and
HACCP certification Enthusiasm and knowledge for third-wave coffee
and craft food and beverage and passion to learn and grow in the

production/brewery facility. This role routinely uses standard
office equipment and electronics such as computers, phones,
tablets, and scanners as well as brewery equipment including washer
and hoses, centrifugal pumps, electrical heating equipment,
pressurized gas tanks, digital and analog scales, coffee grinders,
and various other brewing equipment that may change over time. This
job is occasionally exposed to inside and outside environmental
conditions that may be hot, cold, steamy, foggy, and wet; machinery
noise; potential for physical injury; cold and hot fluids;
pressurized vessels and transfer lines; strong odors and hazardous
gasses; chemicals; and moving machinery. Physical Demands The
physical demands described here are representative of those that
must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential
functions of this job. The employee must be able to stand for
extended periods of time (throughout duration of his/her work
shift). The employee is frequently required to sit; climb stairs;
balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must
repeatedly lift and/or move up to 65 pounds. Specific vision
abilities required by this job include close vision, distance
vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and
ability to adjust focus. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This
is a full-time position. Regular days and hours of work are Monday
through Friday, 7:30am-3:30/4:00pm. Occasional evening and weekend
