Journeyman Electrician works with installing, repairing and
maintaining solar set ups. The Journeyman Electrician reads and
interprets blueprints to assist in working with electrical systems,
and instrumentation. The Journeyman Electrician also is responsible
for training Electrician Apprentices and unlicensed Electricians in
preparation for completing apprenticeship and/or taking the

Requirements:
- Plans, assigns, schedules, and supervises the work of
unlicensed electricians and helpers engaged in the construction,
installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems,
instrumentation, and PLC panels
- Develops and maintains positive interpersonal relations with
other department personnel
- Performs regular maintenance of devices and equipment for
testing and research
- Works with apprentice staff to better their electrical field
knowledge
- Interprets blueprints, schematics, specifications and
electrical drawings
- Uses power tools, hand tools, and specialized equipment
associated with the electrical trade
- Interprets power distribution applications, including
substations, MCCs, and switchgears
- Sizes and installs rigid and ocal conduit systems
- Sizes, installs, and terminates cable and wire
- Performs preventative maintenance on variable frequency drives
(VFD's), motors, pumps, generators, etc.
- Installs and/or repairs faulty equipment, wiring, or control
devices
- Ensures compliance with NEC, NFPA, Performance Work Statement
and applicable regulations
- Performs other related duties, as assignedQUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Current California Electrical Journeyman's license
- Energy, Food & Beverage or other industry experience a
plus
- Experience installing cable trays, loop checking, and
troubleshootingCOMPETENCIES
