POSITION OVERVIEWAgilitech has an excellent career opportunity for an Automation Analyst/Engineer possessing competency with Programmable Logic Controllers and the object oriented HMIs used in industrial automation found in the oil, gas and food industries. Candidates be familiar with PLC logic for Allen Bradley ControlLogix /PLC-5/SLC-500, Modicon, or GE processors. Candidates must also be experienced in interpreting control schematics including P&IDs, control panel schematics, and electrical interconnect diagrams. Experience with on-site troubleshooting, startup, and commissioning are a must. The ideal candidate will have a combination of technical experience and interpersonal skills.

    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Works with lead staff to develop PLC-based automation software based on client requirements
    • Works with lead staff to develop OIT and/or HMI-based automation visualizations
    • Implements and commissions developed PLC, OIT, and/or HMI solutions in a field setting
    • Pursues self-directed work based on lead staff direction and meets/exceeds specified client goals
    • Communicates technical information in writing and verbally
    • Reviews and extends peer-developed software; Develops software that lends itself to effective extension by others; Attends to the development and maintenance of documentation
    • Interprets, applies and follows client and internal programming standards
    • Maintains a focus on safety, both in the field, and in the operation of developed automation software
    • Develops and executes software quality tests
    • Other Duties, as required
      Requirements
      • A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Control Automation, or related field is preferred
      • At least one year of experience in Automation and Control Programming preferred, or four years of direct experience in Automation and Control Programming and four years of Electrical/Electronic related field-work. Classification as Systems Analyst or Sr. Systems Analyst dependent on experience and qualifications
      • Demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Office toolset
      • Demonstrated proficiency in one or more of the following automation programming modalities: PLC, OIT, and HMI (with and without object oriented graphical user interfaces). Expertise with one or more of the following is preferred: Rockwell Software RSLogix 5000, Factory Talk View, Wonderware InTouch and ArchestrA System Platform, Modicon Quantum, Bejier iX HMI
      • Ability to program in one or more languages such as C++, Ruby, Python, and/or Java is preferred
      • Knowledge of SQL and other data access / data structure specification languages, object-oriented programming, and TCP/IP networking fundamentals is a plus

          TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
