*Purchasing/Receiving Clerk*

*SUMMARY: *The Purchasing/Receiving Clerk will perform a variety of customer service duties related to purchasing, sales, shipping, receiving, and delivery of parts and accessories that contribute to the efficient, safe and profitable operation of the shop. They will maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment. This individual will use available resources for maintaining inventory accurately for the shop building at Pacific Ag Rentals.

*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES *include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

*Operations: *

- Directly responsible for purchasing parts, shop supplies, and/or tools

- Directly responsible for all incoming part shipments, which may include, but are not limited to loading and unloading

- Maintain a record of all incoming and outgoing shipments. All transactional processing procedures should be followed using PAR guidelines

- Take a proactive approach to inventory control by assisting and/or reporting discrepancies

- Receive, ship, and store parts as needed

- Proactively study and stay current on industry and product information

- Pick up and deliver parts for customers and vendors as needed (MUST be authorized by HR Manager to drive)

- Assist in the move/use of equipment such as, but not limited to, forklifts, large tractors, water trucks, RTVs, etc. (MUST be forklift certified by Safety Manager)

- Mark and store parts in the stockroom according to the prearranged system and assist with cycle count duties

- Wash tractors and detail equipment as needed

*Customer Service: *

- Communicate all freight charges and status of shipments to Management

- Ensure internal and external customers receive the correct parts in a timely manner through the utilization of PAR procedures

- Communicates with the supervisor and other mechanics about shop questions or needs in either written or verbal form in a clear, professional and efficient manner

- Demonstrates proficient written and verbal communication skills, including accurate grammar and business correspondence

- Prioritize tasks by changing deadlines and priorities to ensure positive outcomes

- Ability to multi-task

- A belief in working as a cohesive team

- Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, too develop and advance knowledge base and skill set

- Participate in all company location-driven communication efforts, including open book meetings, huddles, department meetings,s and other related efforts

- Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and outstanding customer service

- Maintain an organized work environment

- Present a neat, professional appearance

- Arrive at work at the scheduled time, including being prepared to work on time after breaks and meal periods

- Maintain a valid driver's license and a good driving record (if authorized to drive by the DOT Manager)

- Must be eligible to be added to company insurance

- Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner


*Education and/or Experience: *

* Experienced in a similar work environment with a proven track record of strong organizational skills, effective decision-making and excellent people skills a plus
* Knowledge of parts operating system preferred but not required

*Computer Skills: *

- Computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite preferred

*Language Skills: *

- Bilingual English / Spanish preferred

- Ability to respond to basic inquiries and present information effectively to customers, co-workers, and management verbally and in writing

*Mathematical Skills: *

- Ability to apply math concepts to practical situations

*Reasoning Ability: *

* Good reading skills
* Ability to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

*WORKING CONDITIONS: *Working conditions described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

*Environment: *

- Work time is split between the shop and yard in a variety of weather

- Regular time is spent in the shop

- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate

- *Frequently: *Sit,bend, twist, push, pull, climb, squat, crawl, kneel, reach above the shoulder, climb or balance; stand and walk; grasp with hands and fingers; handle tools; see (including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception), hear and speak; lift up to 50lbs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
