At Provost and Pritchard Consulting Group, we're shaping the future of agricultural, industrial, and municipal projects, with a strong emphasis on water infrastructure. We're looking for an experienced Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer specializing in Electrical, Instrumentation, and Control (E&IC) to lead a dynamic team and make a meaningful impact.Typical projects include groundwater wells, booster pump stations, and water or wastewater treatment plants. Candidate may be from either an electrical or instrumentation background with knowledge of both preferred. The position is based out of Bakersfield, CA; however remote candidates will be considered, provided they can be available for site visits as needed.Duties

• Collaborating with Project Managers to prepare compelling proposals, scopes, fees, and schedules.
• Leading E&IC design teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
• Developing contract documents, including detailed plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Conducting Quality Control reviews to ensure exceptional project outcomes.
• Establishing design standards and creating master specifications.
• Mentoring junior staff, fostering their growth, and enhancing the technical expertise of the team.
• Overseeing site observations during construction, startup, commissioning, and operational phases.Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation and Control Engineering.
  • At least 15 years of experience in electrical or instrumentation systems for agricultural, industrial, or municipal projects.
  • Proven expertise with groundwater wells, booster pump stations, and water or wastewater treatment plants.
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of industry codes such as NFPA, IEEE, California Electrical Code, PG&E Greenbook, and ISA.
  • Proficiency with essential tools, including Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Power Modeling and Analysis software
  • Proficiency with performing arc flash and short circuit Analyse
