POSITION TITLE: Field Service Technician DEPARTMENT: Maintenance STATUS: Full Time FLSA: Non-Exempt REPORTS TO: Outside Service Coordinator/Manager Position Summary: The position of Field Service Technician will report directly to the Outside Service Coordinator and then the Outside Service Manager and will work cooperatively with other members of the service team to provide mechanical skills and technical support. This position will perform service on NESCO's rental fleet while in the field. The Field Service Technician is responsible for ensuring the equipment is in proper working condition and their workmanship follows all procedures and protocol. This individual will communicate with service team members daily. Essential Responsibilities & Requirements: Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance on rental fleet. Troubleshoot and repair rental equipment. Report repair information in the service computer program. Travel within the assigned geographical territory. Requirements Ability to learn technical material. Own basic hand tools. Ability to perform responsibilities at the designated site for designated hours as assigned, excluding holidays and PTO. Ability to work without direct supervision. Education and Experience: 5 Years of hydraulic and equipment repair experience. Utility equipment a plus. Hold an unexpired CDL class B. Dielectric testing experience a plus. Must be able to repair aerial lifts, digger derricks, cranes and miscellaneous utility equipment. Must be dependable. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently. Ability to use laptop computer, tablet and smart phone.
