ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Bakersfield, California. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Tele Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • Every other weekend requirement with weekend shifts being Friday/Saturday for nights • Expected to work 1 major holiday and 1 minor holiday as part of permanent staff rotation • Patient ratio of 1:4 on 31-bed telemetry unit (11 private and 10 semi-private rooms) • Must be able to read and interpret all cardiac rhythms using Phillips telemetry system • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS • Navy blue scrubs required (scrub jackets and undershirts must be navy, white, or black) • Use Cerner electronic medical record system • Floor-specific orientation of 1-2 shifts with preceptor • First priority for floating to other units including 2W MedSurg remote tele, MedSurg SW, ICU for tele holds, or ER holds • Must report within 30 minutes if placed on standby/call • Work with patients including post-pacemaker, hemodialysis, new onset AFib, stepdown from ICU, surgical patients, urology, oncology with cardiac monitoring, strokes, TBI, and high acuity patients • Handle CPAP or BiPAP ventilation support with respiratory therapy assistance • Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment Facility: This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive medical facility providing acute care services with specialized telemetry monitoring capabilities.
